Dear Members of the ASI Kerala Chapter, I hope everyone is doing well and sincerely wish everyone a happy and healthy year ahead. 2021 was a year of hurdles and our life had changed in many ways including our social, professional and academic activities.   Kerala Surgical Journal Top

During the last years, we made a bold decision to proceed with the indexation activities of the Kerala Surgical Journal and we made an agreement with Wolters Kluwer for online publishing and indexing work of our Journal. I sincerely thank our members and surgical societies who had supported us during this crisis time to generate the corpus fund for the KSJ. Two issues of the journal were published in time with high-quality original articles and papers. Hopefully, our journal will get indexed in the coming year, so that our journal will be self-sustainable.

I am really grateful to my Chairmen Dr. EV Gopi and the entire ASIK office bearers for their total support and advice. I also thank all the Executive committee members and seniors for their constant encouragement and support. I may be pardoned if there had been any inadvertent error or inaction from my part during my tenure. Many of our social and academic activities were suspended during the time of the pandemic. I hope that as the situation is under control, we should be able to roll back to our energising get-togethers and all academic activities in the near future.

Sincerely Yours
